Respite Retreats is offering Mini Retreats—a five-week series of 2.5 to 3-hour sessions held at our center in Ellicott City, Maryland.

These retreats provide meaningful respite to individuals affected by cancer through uplifting and therapeutic activities that support healing of the mind, body, and spirit. Each session includes holistic experiences in a nurturing group setting, with 8–12 participants per series.

Participants are welcome to sign up for one, several, or all five sessions—whatever feels right for their journey. Attendees may also bring a guest, such as a caregiver, friend, or family member, to share in the experience.

While on retreat, we invite you to experience a range of therapies and activities, which may include:

  • Yoga

  • Bingo & Other Games

  • Meditation

  • Music Therapy

  • Sound Therapy

  • Fun - Fun - Fun

  • Guided Imagery

  • Journaling

  • Art

  • Acupressure

  • Reiki

  • Nutrition Demonstrations

PLEASE NOTE: EACH RETREAT IS DIFFERENT AND ALL OF THE ABOVE ARE NOT OFFERED AT EVERY ONE.

Our fundraising efforts and community support allow us to offer these retreats at NO COST, giving participants the opportunity to disconnect from everyday life with cancer in order to focus on healing, cultivate personal introspection, and experience a deeper connection with one’s self. While all meals and programs are included, participants are responsible for their own transportation.

A special note to applicants: This retreat is for you. You and your family deserve an opportunity to take a healing break from the realities of cancer. You matter and your community has come together to gift you this experience. Please do not hesitate to apply.
